Jo Lernout
is Co-Chairman and Managing Director of the Board of Lernout & Hauspie Speech Products N.V., one of the world's leading companies on speech and language recognition technology. Prior to founding Lernout & Hauspie with Pol Hauspie in 1987, Mr. Lernout served in various capacities for Wang Laboratories, and was General Manager of Barco Industries, Graphic Division, in Boston. He holds a degree in physics from the Vlerick Management School in Ghent, Belgium.
